My dear, I found this site for the first time as I lay awake in agony knowing my dear Oreo (a tuxedo) age 19 is going to sleep tomorrow. Your tribute to Max inspires me to write to him every day/month.. I am so in awe over your love for your fur baby. He is always with you. I will hold Oreo close and tell him to visit Max in less than 24 hours. Love to you -Kate

Dear Deedra, On Tuesday 11/24/15 I lost my feline friend Lucy. She was insane, quirky and truly unique. I thought she would bother me for another ten years. Like Max, she wasn't old at all. As fit as could be, and a keen huntress, she seemed immortal. Yet, it all changed as she drew her last breath, lying in the carrier in my lap, as I raced to the vet. I couldn't close her eyes either. The eyes once burning with magic and curiosity were immobile and devoid of light. I thought I was moving on, when suddenly today, I felt the need to cry. After I had remembered her life as best I could, I recalled the story of the rainbow bridge, and I looked it up. Then I cried some more. I searched my zip code, and found your heart-warming story. And yes, I cried more while reading it. Crying is good though. It expels poison from the soul, and clarifies the mind. I know that you suffer in silence, but be comforted in knowing that your words have helped me grieve.

Oh Max you left a big void in Deedra's life and her words echoed to pain and sorrow she feels without you. I cried for her as she had made you a special place here and wrote beautiful words about you. Please visit her often with your new found angel wings and blow kitty kisses on the wind and wiht our stretched paw gently show her that although you are apart you are still there curled up in that special place in her heart besides your paw prints. Willow and you are really good friends and if your mummy needs a friend I am here for her. Dedra to you a send a hug full of love - Jayne

My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 8 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

You are a handsome guy! Send mom some signs, kisses from the Rainbow to let her know that you are safe, happy, healthy and will have many friends. To Deedra - I send my sincere sympathy to you over the loss of Max. I too lost my soulmate not long ago, see Brande http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/BRAND167/Resident.htm - We know that God has promised we will be with our babies again one day. Hello, handsome Max, welcome to the forever sunny meadow by Rainbow Bridge. Mommy loves and misses you so...she made you a beautiful place and wrote loving words. We asked our Pressy to welcome you and be a playmate to chase sunbeams and rainbows and share kitty love headbumps. She'll show you wonders of Paradise meadow and teach you to send love signs on the wind to Mommy so she hears your sweet meows and purrs and feels a soft touch of your kitty paw when gentle breezes blow. You're now a guardian star shining brightly for her until she comes to cross the Bridge together for all time. We ask she not be so sad but treasure memories of you and remember you're curled up beside your pawprints deep in her heart forever. Play happy meadow games with other furangels but stop often to smile at Mommy so she feels the warmth of your love surround her and knows you miss her too. Soar among clouds now on silvery new angel wings to watch over Mommy always, beloved Mad Max. Pressy's Grandpa

Max, What a beautiful baby you were, always so loyal and loving. You taught and gave your mommy so much that she now knows the true meaning of unconditional love. She longs for the day to be able to hold you and to look into your eyes again.I know just how grateful you are for all of love and care in which she provided you.She misses you baby, so very much. I know that you don't want her to be sad for too long, but instead, be happy. For you are happy, content at peace and have been surrounded by so many others who also love and adore you, including my Shayna Girl and Leche.I extend my deepest condolences to you for the loss of Max.I know just how painful it is to have lost your angel, for, I too, lost mine. Hello Max, we are Mouse's earth family. She's that black and white bouncing off the walls nipping at everyones behinds, I know, very annoying, but given half a chance she'll grow on you. You love to run and leap in the air in the sunshine and she does as well. I hope you have found each other to be playmates and maybe best friends too. Max, I know you are missing your Mommy and Ebony so much now and you may be wondering why they are not with you but if you will direct your love for them toward earth you will feel their deep love radiating in your direction. It will always be there to warm and comfort you Max. Love is eternal. Max, your Mommy and sister are so heartbroken right now, please be their guardian angel kitty and help them through this very painful time. We love you Max. John and Lily
