Carol, I happened by Meggie's page here last night and I cried as I read your little "love letters" to your Meggie. My heart goes out to you. I can see the love you have for her and how very much you miss her, no matter how much time goes by. I know that I can't completely understand your pain, as each person's pain is his/her own, but I do know how painful it is to lose a beloved "pet" who was so much more than a "pet" to me. May God bless you and Meggie.

I lost my Meggie 6 years ago yesterday. I still miss her and love her. I feel for your loss. It does get a little better but you never forget. She can never be replaced but having "two" little loves does help a lot. I hope you find happiness one day again.

My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 6 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

Carol, I'm part of Rox's Pet Memories group and I'd like to extend my sympathy and support on your loss of you sweet Meggie. She had a tough time during her last days with you, but now there is no pain or suffering and she is once again running young and free at the Bridge. She has left you so many good memories. Dwell on those memories and know she is always safe within your heart until you meet again one day. Hugs, Linda C.

Carol, what a beautiful girl. I am so very sorry that Meggie had to leave to cross the bridge. They are not lost, just waiting for us. One of my best friends and companion of 16 years, Willy, went to the bridge in January. My tears still flow when I think of him. I know though, that Meggie and Willy are probably playing in the meadows, running and jumping now. I know Willy loved the sunshine and I hope that she does too. I truly believe that God would not have made a Heaven without our beloved companions there to meet us. I have left an extra angel to look over Meggie, as they are our special angels watching over us. I hope that your pain begins to turn to peace that fills your heart with nothing but wonderful memories. They make the days become a little less heartbreaking knowing that their hearts are always with ours. God Bless You until we all meet again. I would love for you to visit Willy at http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/WILLY010/Resident.HTM

Hello Carol, I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Meggie. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on there memory and begin to celebrate there life. Please take comfort in knowing that one day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander in July 2008 & have attached his link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZANDE003/Resident.htm

Meggie - You are a sweet looking lady and you have left many happy memories with your family! Send them some signs, kisses from the Rainbow to let them know that you are safe, happy, healthy and will have many friends. Let Carol know that God has appointed you to be her guardian, protector to watch over her until she is called to the Bridge to join you one day. I will tell my Brande to find you and play with you. To Carol - I send my sincere sympathy to you over the loss of Meggie. I too lost my soulmate not long ago, see Brande at http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/BRAND167/Resident.htm - We know that God has promised we will be with our babies again one day. I leave this quote with you, "heaven is the only place where all the dogs and cats you have ever loved will come running to meet you." Author Unknown

Dear Carol, it breaks our hearts when our little soulmates grow old and leave us for the rainbow meadow but we know that they go to a beautiful place. I know and understand the sorrow you are going through for I lost both of my purrkitties two weeks apart after having them for many years. Your sweet Meggie, along with my Inky and Bubba Lou, are well and happy, and playing like puppies and kittens in heaven's sunshine. We will be reunited with our little departed ones at the bridge someday. May wonderful memories of Meggie begin to heal your broken heart and may our Lord bless you with comfort and peace. He promised us that those that mourn will be comforted.
