i was reading about rufus and how he came into your life,i had a special girl come into my life her name was bonnie, a red and white border collie that i had for 12 years ,one day she was sick ,i rushed her to the vet ,the next morning got the terrible call that i prayed that i would never get, my heart just sank ,i rushed to be at her side we spent time together before, i was praying for a miracle that did not come.i stayed with her during and after ,i just thought that id wake up ,and it would only be a dream. that did not happen.now all i have is memories of her,i am sorry for your loss as well,we get so attached to our babies,and it is so painful when we have to let them go.

What a brave man Rufus was and you too for being there for him. We just lost our love Toodie on 1/17/10 and I feel every pain that you felt. Your story touched me and so did Rufus. I know he and Toodie are playing together.
