Memories of Cassandra
Cassandra, I still remember that September day in 1996 that you picked me out.
It took you a while to trust me, and get used to me. I still remember the first time
you jumped into bed, laid next to me and purred all night. At the time, I wasn't too happy
but you did manage to break me in, and I got use to your purring, allowing it to help settle me into sleep. Your memories will always be with me. From your fetching the "fuzzy balls" and bringing them back to me, in our game of catch.
Your departure left a hole in my heart big enough to drive a truck thru, BUT I know now that you are pain free, and are able to once again run and jump. I also have heard that there are new friends with you to show you around.
