Memories of Smudgy
You died today in my arms and left me, my little mouse man. Where did you go? You (what was you) are still in my kitchen and it still feels as if you're coming around the corner any minute to get a pat. I hope you did not suffer too much. You had such a long life and a long end with it. Rescued three times, but not a fourth. This is the end of you being with me. You'll always be in my heart - irreplacable - forever.
I should have taken more time for you and enjoyed you a lot more than I did. You were just there for all the time giving me your love.
You had character. Chip on your shoulder, grouwling and having things your way, 1.7 kg, my little man. I loved you for that and wouldn't have wanted you any other way.
You were abandoned in a cold backyard when I saw you first 12 years ago. You had your own house, but no love. And I brought you home to your new wife Peggy. Bambi, your daughter was born after while. We were such a nice family until today. Not unexpected that you died. I knew for sooo long and cried so many tears even before you died.
You will always be in mommies and daddies heart and also Peggys and Bambies - forever.
Tomorrow we will have your funeral and we all will be there to say goodbye to our little Smudgeman.
Where did you go? One day in the future I'll know and maybe then I'm with you again. For now you're in doggie heaven with no pain.
Goodbye my little Smudgeman, Goodbye. Thousand of kisses and pats XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

24/01/08 Peggy came to join you today, Smudgy. She had so much problems with her heart. It must have been a broken heart, because she missed you so much like all of us, little man. Make her welcome whereever you are. Mummy loves you so much!!! Always!!!

29/10/08 A year today since you died, little mouse man. It feels like yesterday. Never never will I forget you ever!!!!
Mommie's life changed a bit in the meantime because you died. She's doing all the things she always wanted to do one day in the future. Never know how long we have got. We also got Lucky now to keep mommie, daddy and Bambi company. You would have liked her.
You got white roses today on your grave and also here in your rainbow residence. I will change them every year now for you but you always will have summer and a ball for playing. Loving you forever my little boy.
LOVE from mommie (and daddy, Bambi and Lucky)
