Below is information to help maintain your furbaby or feathered friend's Residency.
 
 

• Maintaining your Baby's Rainbow Bridge Residency
  
  When you want to care for your baby's Rainbow Residency, please go to the Rainbows Bridge Guardian Area at:
  
  https://www.rainbowsbridge.com/Resident_Guardian.aspx
  
  this link is also located at your baby's Rainbow Residency towards the bottom of the page. Just click it to get to the Guardian area.
  
  Once there you must put in your confirmation number and your password. It is case sensitive, so type it in exactly as you chose it, then click the button to enter the Guardian area.
  
  After you enter you can change most anything you would like, you can not erase the page or destroy anything so don't worry about trying out new items.
  
  To select items for the residency click the "Show Images" link below each selection category. A list of images representing the item will be presented and you can click the check box of the items you want.
  
  You can add multiple items by holding down the CTRL key (bottom left corner of your keyboard) and clicking on the toys you would like to add. And remember, you can go back as often as you can to make changes to the residency.
  
  You can change the flowers, shrubs, memories and epitaph and even add a new photo of your baby if you want. Once you are done selecting your changes scroll down and click the button that says "Apply My Changes." The screen will refresh showing you the changes you just made. At this point you are done and changes made have also been completed at your baby's residency.
  
  
• I have a new Email address. How do I change it at my baby's Rainbow Residency?
  
  At the Guardian area you will notice your email address in the text box to the right of the screen. Highlight your current email address, delete and enter your new email address. Scroll down and click the "Apply My Changes" button.
  
  What if I forget or misplace my Password or Confirmation Number ?
  
  If you forget your password or confirmation number you can ask that it be emailed to you at the Guardian Area.
  
  
• Why don't I get ALL the items I asked for when I am making changes to my Babies residency?
  
  If some of your selections are missing it is because there were too many items selected.
  
  What is the image just below the memories of my Baby's residency and other pages of the Web Site with numbers on it?
  
  That image, when clicked with the Right mouse button, will open a window that shows you who is visiting your baby's residency at that time as well as visitors to the site. To try it invite a friend to your baby's residency and then Right click the image in the top right corner. You will see that your friend is also at the residency and you can then send an IM message to them or meet in a Chat Room. If you do not see the image please visit this page to fix the problem.
  
  
• My baby died in 1985, can I create a Residency for him?:
  
  Yes, all babies that have gone to the Bridge are welcome as Rainbow Residents. 
  
  
• Adding or changing a photo at your baby's residency:
  
  AT your baby's Guardian area, click the "Browse" button to enter your hard drive and click on the file of your baby's photo, click OK and then scroll down and click the "Apply My Changes" button. If you should get an error message this means your photo is too large. A photo needs to be no more than 300x300 pixels and in .GIF, .JPG or .BMP format.

• How do I edit the entries in my baby's Guestbook?:
  
  The guest book passages you see in the window at the Guardian area is for you to delete those you do not want. The complete text of the passage is viewed at your baby's residency home. When at the residency scroll down and click the link that say's "View Guest Book". If you find a posting you do not want there you can find and delete it at the guardian area by highlighting it and then clicking "Apply my changes".
  
  
• I cannot enter my baby's Guardian area.
  
  These are few things that can be wrong. First go to the Guardian area and click the "Forgot Confirmation Number or Password?" button so you can have your guardian information mailed to you immediately. Now try entering the Guardian area. If you still cannot:
  1) You are using a space somewhere in your confirmation number or password.
  2) You have your capital letters button on? Enter your password EXACTLY as you chose it (i.e.: small letters, capital letters, spaces, etc.) Please check all of the above.
  3)If you still can not enter the Guardian area please email me.
  
  

• I have more than one Baby at Rainbows Bridge, can I link them together from their Residencies? 
  
  If you have more than one baby at Rainbows Bridge you will see the names of your babies when you enter each resident's guardian area. Click each name and then the "Apply my Changes" button to link the residencies. If you would like to view a Residency that has a link to another furchild at Rainbows Bridge please visit Rusty.
  
  

• Can I place more than one Baby at a residency?:
  
  Yes, you can have as many Fur Babies at a Residency but one date on the stone. If you want to have all your babies dates I suggest you use either the epitaph or memories area. The same aplies to placing all your babies names at one residency.
  
  
• I noticed that on the Rainbow Residents Index page it lists the date we created the Residency, but not the day we lost our precious Baby?:
  
  Yes, that is the way it is set up, we list the day your Baby entered Rainbows Bridge.com at the Residents Index, not heaven, which is listed on your baby's Residency stone.
  
  
• Where can I go to talk to others who are grieving?
  
  You can visit our Petloss Grief Center where you can link to the Petloss Forum and Chat Room.
  
  
• Can I renew my baby's Residency on-line?
  
  Yes, you can renew on-line at any time. When you check your renewal date at your baby's Guardian Area you have the opportunity to also renew. The renewal will be applied at the end of your current renewal expiration date so that you receive the full renewal year.
  
  
• I have a new Credit Card I would rather use to renew my Baby's residency. How can I change it.
  
  To change your card go to your Baby's guardian area. Scroll down to just below your memories and you will see a button to renew your Baby's residency. Click the button and you will be presented with a page that allows you to both change the card info or renew the residency.
  
  
• How do I know when my Baby's residency is due for renewal?:
  
  You will receive an email notification about a month before your renewal is due. The expiration date is also just below your baby's memories at the guardian area.
  
  
• How do I find other baby's that are from my home town or that are of the same breed?
  
  The Resident and Breed search engines are located at the top of each Resident Index Page. You can search by breed, baby's name, city, state or zip code.
  
  
• How do I add my Baby's Breed to the Breed Search Engine?
  
  Enter your Baby's Guardian Area to select your baby's breed and add it to our search engine.
  
  
• How can I get my local Humane Society on your list for donations?:
  
  To submit a shelter to be eligible for a donation, visit our "Find a Friend" area at New Beginnings. Rainbows Bridge selects at random shelters that are in our database for donations every three months. 
  
  
• Do you have a way for us to see who you send donations to?:

• What are the duties of a volunteer?:
  
  At the pet loss side Rainbows Bridge a volunteer must have an understanding heart, care about another's loss and the sorrow they are feeling. An understanding and caring "friend" who will give support and listen. Volunteers man the Pet Loss chat room or volunteer for a One-on-One chat via email or a private chat room.  To become a volunteer visit our volunteer sign-up page.

  At the New Beginnings side of Rainbows Bridge volunteers help out at the Pet Health chat room and "Your Pets Health" message board, offering advice and self learned tips about caring for those Babies who share our lives.
