Laura,
What a warm, adorable and caring display of love and celebration of the spirit of Spike...one that brought you years of love, smiles, and companionship!! When I lost Smokey, my minature german shepherd/dachshund I can truly say that I shared the same connection with him that you shared with Spike. The memorable moments in time that he brought to be will never be forgotten as long as I live. I truly feel that we will see our little loved ones again someday and look forward to all the hugs and kisses!!!!

I remember Spike, that tiny little guy with huge expressive eyes and I miss him. They live a big black hole in your life when they go don't they?

God looked around his Garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon His earth.
And saw your loving face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult,
He closed your tired eyes,
He whispered to you "Peace be Thine"
And gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping
So calm and free of pain,
We would not wish you back on earth
To suffer once again.
You've left us precious memories,
Your love will be our guide,
You live on through your family,
You're always by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you
On the day God called you home. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/CLEO028/Resident.htm

We recently met Laura and having gotten to know what a wonderful person she is, we know that Spike was the luckiest dog in the world to have found her! We are so glad that they had each other to love and care for and that Laura's other family members continue to have Laura as their guardian. We are honored to know such a wonderful friend to the animals!

Laura, I'm really sorry for the loss of Spike. I know exactly how you feel, I have lost my Marley a few years back. Now I cry when I think that my baby Sera will be gone one day. My hearth is with you and your Spike. Love ya.

Laura - I am so very sorry for your loss. I know how gut wrenching and heart breaking it is to lose a beloved pet. I understand the pain and emptiness you feel. Please let your memories of him help you to get through. He is in a much better place now with my Mel & Josie. I love you Sis!

Good morning Spike welcome to Rainbow Bridge where your eternal youth and good health have been restored. I wish you days of sunshine and meadows to run in, I know that you have found your tiny little angel wings so wear them proud my friend and when you get a chance send your mommy a sign to let her know that you think of her often.

My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 8 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write or talk on the phone please let me know. I will be there for you. He is still with you. They never leave.

Your loving tribute page was so very touching to read, Laura. It was truly beautiful when you shared that little Spike went peacefully, in your arms. You will remember that forever, I'm sure. May you find solace knowing that when he crossed over to his new home, his health and vigor were both instantly renewed for him. He is now your "Furry Guardian Angel" and will watch over you and your entire family. I recently read an old Indian Proverb that says "The soul would have no rainbow if the eyes had no tears." I hope, Laura, that you can take this to mean (as I have done) that each tear you've shed has not been in vain, for each one has mixed with the Sunshine at Spike's new home and helped the Rainbow there shine just that much brighter for him. I truly hope this sweet loving tribute page here for your "son" will bring you many words of comfort as time will begin to slowly help heal the heartache of your loss.

Spike - What a special guy and a loving companion you were to your mommy! Send her some kisses from the Rainbow and let her know that you are safe, happy, healthy, and will have a lot of fur friends to play with now. Let mommy know that you have been appointed by God to be her guardian angel to protect her until she is called to join you one day at the Bridge. I will tell my Brande to find you and play with you. To Laura - I send you my deepest sympathy at this time of sorrow. I too lost my soulmate not long ago, see Brande
http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/BRAND167/Resident.htm - We know that God has promised we will see our babies again. I leave this quote with you, "heaven is the only place where all the dogs and cats you have ever loved will come running to meet you. Author Unknown

Good Morning, valiant little Spike, welcome to the sunny meadow by Rainbow Bridge. Your Mama loves and misses you so...she made you a beautiful place at RB and wrote wonderful stories about you. We asked our Pressy to welcome you and be your playmate to chase golden sunbeams and give you kitty headbump kisses. She'll be your big sister to show you wonders of the bright Paradise meadow where it is always beautiful morning and you're wonderfully healthy again. She'll teach you to send love signs on the wind to Mama so she'll feel your sweet doggies in the evening breeze. You're now her shining star guardian angel until she comes to cross the Bridge to be together again for all time. Run fast to play games with Caleb, Brande, Dusty, Princess, and all the other furbabies but stop often to smile down on Mama so she'll feel the warmth of your love and know you love and miss her too and you're with her always. Rest with angels, beloved little Spike. Pressy's Grandpa
