Mary and Paul, It's 2:45 am and just got this. I have to go to bed because I'm just exhausted. Mary I'll finish up tomorrow but please take care of your headache as best you can. I also could not go on emotionally because of your story of Scraps. I just can't handle it now; tomorrow's another day, though. Lots of love to you and Paul - Dave

I stumbled across Scrappy's page doing research on canine congestive heart failure. My baby, Kitty, is in the latter stages CHF. Seeing pics of Scrappy, I'm astonished how much she looks like my baby. I know the end is near, and I am filled with dread; but I try to keep my spirits up and enjoy as much time as I possibly can with my precious pup. Just wanted to say thanks for posting Scrappy's story.

What a wonderful character Scrappy was and I'm sure that she has made friends with my litte dog Bumpy who sadly passed away 9 January 2010. Your site has also provided me with excellent advice for my other elderly dog, Cindy, who has both renal and heart problems.

I was researching conjestive heart failure in dogs and found this site. We nearly lost our 10 year old Yorkie yesterday to congestive Heart failure. He is now at our regular vets after surviving a 25per cent chance of survival. I feel your pain and your joy of your baby. Thank you for shring Scraps story/ It is both a blessing and an encouragement. Thank you for sharing Scrapy with the world.

Scrappy sounds like a wonderful companion, I'm sure she is having fun, playing with my Bijou by the Rainbow Bridge.

Reading about Scrappy brought tears to the eyes of this grizzled old Soldier. You think you are pretty tough and have seen things nobody should have to see but those little furry bundles of fun and affection melt your Heart. Our beloved Chica, a cute Pekingese of uncertain age, (somewhere between 16 and 19), has CHF and is deteriorating rapidly. Her story is so much like Scrappy's (was found as a stray in Dubai, went through Quarantine in the UK etc.) and has had her first serious problems and is now lethargic and with some diarrhoea, however, thanks to Scrappy and your site we knew about the imporatnce of Blood tests and side effects and our Vet has been so careful with the tests, checking her every 3 days, so we are hopeful she will recover and at least have a comforatble last few months.
Thanks to your love of your dog, and caring enough to create your web-site, you have given us some hope and at least we know what to expect.

Scrappy lives on in the hearts of all those who loved her. Thanks for sharing her story with me. I know it must have been difficult but all the info you shared might help save another dogs life. Thank you! Scrappy's story brought me to tears. I hugged both my dogs and whispered in their ears..."when you cross over the rainbow bridge (hopefully many years from now), make sure you meet up with Scrappy and tell her that her Mommy & Daddy said they love her and will see her again." One of my dogs ears perked up and the other...yawned. I think they got the message and will relay it to Scrappy :)

I wrote you both yesterday about our bichon BuddyJay & our current battle with his congestive heart & renal failure. I ended the letter referring to the Rainbow Bridge not even knowing this site existed. Your plight with Scrappy remained with us all thru the night. This is Sept.2006 & our hearts are with you. Even now he lives on.
