I to have an old, much loved brittany who takes very good care of her toys until they get a hole. Then she gleefully de-stuffs them. I'm afraid she will be crossing the bridge soon, but its nice to know there will be someone "like minded" on the other side.

I too had a Birttany that I loved very. Reading what you wrote made me cry as I thought about how much I miss my Tucker. He died a week and a half ago, and I find myself wondering how long it will be before I stop crying myself to sleep at night, wishing so bad I could have him back, even if just for long enough to say goodbye. Your Tache seems like a very special dog, and I'm glad you got to have him in your life.

"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened" -Anatole France - I have found such profound truth in that statement.... I believe in my heart, that is why we never forget the joy, the love, the very presence of our babies even after they've gone. You see, the part of us they've awoken simply never again falls asleep inside us. Instead, the cherished memories of their love, their presence in our lives, keeps their flame eternally glowing in our hearts, no matter how little...or how long of a time has gone by since they've left our side....
May Tache's flame continue to burn brightly and shine eternally in your heart... With wishes of sunshine to you, from the Rainbow and beyond......God Bless......Karen (Dusty's mommy)....... http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/DUSTY101/Resident.htm

Hi Sheryle,
I am sitting here with tears in my eyes. Your love for Tache is felt with every word you wrote. I can see it was a difficult day. Blu is so lucky to have you, and hopefully, through the days to come he will help your healing. I think he has already, but each day will help even more.
Fondly,
Donna
