Memories of Angel
| We received Angel a few days after we lost Fancee. The ironic twist to this is that Angel is Fancee's niece. Angel is such a gem. She was somewhat laid back, and loved attention. Angel had to be near me wherever I went, and especially loved laying under my desk when I was at my computer. Angel was not really fond of my collies..at all. The collies would not let up on following her around and she hates it. When she went outside, they were right there, so I had to be outside with her to ward off the big guys. Angel was been debarked, and oh it was so sad to hear her bark...she squeaked. I kept wanting to get out some WD40 to lube that squeaky bark. On January 11th I took Angel to the vets. She was not eating and throwing up a lot. The vets ran all kinds of bloodwork on her and were having trouble finding out what was wrong. Angel had her teeth cleaned the week before and I thought maybe she was having a reaction to the anesthesia. but this was not the case. After 3 days Angel was so sick she started to spike a constant fever, and stopped drinking or eating. They gave her 2 units of plasma, after her bloodwork showed she did have pancreatitis. For 5 days Angel showed no signs of improvement, however she wasn't getting any worse. On 1/17/2005 at 6:45am I got a call from my vet. Apparently at 4:30am she spiked a fever that would not come down despite everything they did for her. God came and took his Angel home. She was such a love, and brought so much love into our hearts after we lost Fancee. Now she and Fancee can play together at the Rainbow Bridge |
