3/8/04 - Your daddy kept watching an ad in the lost and found section in the paper about an older pup who was available for adoption. He finally wore your mummy down, and you joined our clan on August 6, 1997. You quickly wormed your way into our hearts, and now we can't believe you are gone. You never had a quarrel with anyone... never. Mummy misses feeling your warm body pressed against her head when you would sleep on her pillow at night. Daddy misses having you sleep under his desk while he works. And he'll miss seeing your little head on the corner of the couch watching him while he mows the backyard. We both miss hearing your demanding "wap" when you wanted up on the couch or carried into Daddy's office from the bedroom. Your furry sisters miss you, too. Oh precious Anniebell, our BooBoo, little Sugar Bear and Bug Dog... will we ever get used to not having you here? We think not. But we know you are with Daisy at Rainbow Bridge now. Take good care of each other. We found the star you are watching from in the mornings now, and we will pray for you and patiently await the day when we can be together again. 3/8/05 - Sweet BooBoo, it was a year ago today that you started your journey to Rainbow Bridge. The other day we were watching a video of you, and the wonderful memories came rushing back. You were so full of life when we first adopted you! Blackhawk has joined you and Daisy now, and although we miss you terribly, we are comforted in knowing the original sisters are together again. We understand you have been sharing your wisdom with Peaches, Cubbie and Rocky. :) Today Daddy thought of you laying on my pillow in the mornings, and I imagined your "wapping" when I would arrive home from work. We will light the fireplace for you tonight, Annie, and say a prayer. Sweet dreams, little one. 8/6/05 - Happy Birthday, BooBoo!!! We started celebrating early in the week as you have always insisted we do, and the celebration will peak tonight with a cook-out. And, of course, the celebration won't end there. :) Peaches, Rocky and Cubbie like your idea on how to celebrate birthdays! Love you, little Bug Dog... we'll see you in our dreams tonight. 3/8/06 Thinking of you with tears and smiles. Two years now, BooBoo... it's seemed like twenty years since we heard your little "wap". 8/6/06 Happy Birthday, Annie!! It may rain today, but even if it does we will celebrate your birthday with one of your favorites on the grill! We still miss you so very, very much, BooBoo, and as you have always insisted, the birthday celebration won't end today. :) 3/8/07 Three years. We can't believe you've been gone three years. Today Mummy thought of that day in Sturgeon Bay when we were walking on the beach, and you waded through a small stream. Your eyes were wide open, and when you reached the other side you capered around in excitement and pride that you actually did it! We miss you so very, very much, our sweet BooBoo Bug Dog. Love you with all our hearts. 3/8/08 Four years now, BooBoo. And we still miss you just as much as we did four years ago. Spring is around the corner, and we'll be sitting on the patio wishing we could see you spending the day in one of the chairs like you used to. Remember how you loved the firepit in Autumn?
