Memories of Basil

Basil, No one is going to miss you more than mommy. You will forever be my shadow. You were always under my feet. I will miss taking naps with you, swimming and sitting by the pool. It is already so quiet around the house. We know you are comfortable now in doggy heaven. You were a comfy pillow for Jess and Kayla. I thank you for protecting me and always being by my side. Although Tyler will not miss your barking, I know he will miss fighting with you. Lexi is sad that she no longer has her buddy following her every move. We don't have anyone to eat our leftovers, or clean our plates any more. Jamie will miss playing growl with you and Lexi will miss playing blankie. Our garbage is safe now. You were with us for almost 10 years and although we never scolded anyone like we needed to scold you, you will be dearly missed and forever in our minds and hearts.
