Memories of Bobby
Bobby was rescued at eight weeks old from Ontario where there was a breed ban on pit bulls. His full breed mixes are lab, pit, staff terrier, hound. Bobby was a joy from the start. He was lively, friendly and loving. He loved playing in the yard with tennis balls. You could throw one to him for hours and he wouldn't get tired. He was Mama's boy and as the years went on he became best friends with my son. My son was three when Bobby was rescued. They grew up together. Bobby was a big boy but always thought he was a lap dog. He would sit on anyone's lap if they sat on the floor, whether they wanted him on or not. He would greet everyone at the door. Bobby never met a stranger. He was the friendliest dog we ever had the pleasure of owning. He loved opening up Christmas presents, even if they weren't his. He would sneak up on the couch with me at night and I would wonder why my legs hurt...lol. He was a gentle giant. As the years went on he began walking goofy. He would fall over often and we would have to pick him up. Bobby ended up having a herniated disc in his back and couldn't feel his back legs. Our vet said he could end up paralyzed and at 16 surgery just wasn't an option. We had to make the painful decision to let his pain end. The house and our lives are empty without him. He gave us 16 joyous years but it wasn't long enough. He's the kind of dog you wish could live forever. I thank you Bobby for bringing our family joy and laughter, friendship and love. You're never going to be forgotten. You are loved always. I miss you my friend every moment of every day. Thanks for being the wonderful dog you were and for blessing our family with your love.

Bobby (Dad's Little Guy),
I already miss you so very much. You are absolutely the hardest one to say good bye to. You have been with us for so long I just always thought you would be here. You are the only one that was here with every one of our other fur babies. Everyone of them from Annie on up to Katie. I almost expect to look over at your blanket and see you lying there.

You loved everybody and you wanted everyone to love you. Even to the point of being pushy. I remember one day we had teh cable guy over doing some work and when he kneeled down onto the floor, there you were sitting on his lap. You did not want anyone to go away thinking you did not love them.
You were always such a gentle sweet guy. You always seemd to knwo when someone was having a bad day or did not feel well. You were right by their side. Or you would sneak up onto the bed or couch just to help someone feel better. I am going to miss you with all of my heart.

You've got your best friend of all time Frankie there with you. Harold and Annie are right there too along with Kenny, Albert & Chloe. You all take care of each other. I love you Bobby and when I get to the other side when it is my time, I will be right there with all of you to scratch behind your ears or chin. Until then, my little guy, I love you and miss you.

Love Dad
