Memories of Daisy

I remember when I first got you. A nice man had found you on the freeway and saved you from being hit by a car. You must have been separated from your cat family but you found a new family with us.

I remember you as a kitten. You would run and play so fast that you hopped off of the ground. You had a little bear which was your favorite toy and you liked to play with my ties. I still have the bear.

Tiffany loved you as well. She saved you when you ran out of the apartment and got behind a bush.

I bought you a tall perch that you would sit on everyday.

As you liked to run out the door of the apartment, we would take to to a vet's office for "day care" when the maid came on Fridays. They liked you there.

Later you went to live with my mother who was your Mimi. She loved and cared for you but told everyone that you were still my cat and I would visit you often. You two were inseparable and you were the best companion.

You loved your toys and would race up and down the stairs. In addition to your perch, you had an army tent that you loved to sit in. You would also sit on a towel in the bathroom were the sun would shine through the window. You would get a new toy whenever they went to the grocery store.

Although it would make you sick, you liked to chew on flowers and the Christmas tree.

You would be brushed and get your face washed each night.

Your perch will be inherited by your cousins and I will think of you whenever they sit on it.

We told Ms. Rickie that you had passed and she wanted to add this to your memorial: "In loving memory to Miss Daisy. I watched you blossom from a kitten to a beautiful cat. You were always leaving your toys everywhere. I will always remember you sitting on the back of the couch enjoying the view and soaking in the rays of the warm sunshine. You were so very active and fun to watch. I will always remember your sweet little face. May God keep you safe and warm. Love you forever and always."

You were taken from us too soon but will never be forgotten.

We had limited words on the headstone but your Mimi wanted to write:

"Previous little kitty. Rest in Peace. We love you. Miss you."

UPDATE - 12/31/20 - Daisy - several more people have signed your page. Even those who did not know you love and miss you. It was a hard holidays without you. We talked about you on Christmas Eve. I am now making annual donations in your name to Rescued Pets Movement which is a group here in Houston which helps homeless pets. I will be back soon.

UPDATE - 7/6/20 - Daisy - we still miss you. Just wanted to let you know that your charity (Rescued Pets Movement) recently saved a dog and saved two kittens from euthanasia. I am glad you could help them like we helped you. I hope you can read this.

Update - 12/14/21 - Daisy - Today is one year since you left us. Sorry I haven't been back before to update your page but I will be back before the end of the year. It has been a tough year for your Mimi as she is having some health problems but is doing better. She misses you as we all do. Your blue bear is sitting next to our Christmas tree upstairs with my other ornaments. I mentioned you to Ginger and Sprinkles last night - you had come to play with them once. I hope you can read this. Love you. You are not forgotten and I will be back soon.

Update 12/31/21 - Daisy - These end of the year messages are hard. I wish we did not have to lose you. I know you can hear this. I am making your donation now to Rescued Pets. They help other animals who need help. I can't believe its been a year since you have been gone. I know I will see you again.
