As I sit upon the windowsill Looking out into the rain There's still a brightness in the sky That clears away the pain As I look into the Heavens I feel that you are gone But I know that you are there with God Singing Life's Eternal Song You are always on my mind. You were not with us for very long, but we will never forget you. May 2007: THE EULOGY Look not where I was For I am not there My spirit is free I am everywhere In the air that you breathe In the sounds that you hear Don't cry for me Mom My spirit is near I'll watch for you From the other side I'll be the one running New friends by my side Smile at my memory Remember in your heart This isn't the end It's a brand new start MARCH 2007: They will not go quietly, the pets who've shared our lives. In subtle ways they let us know their spirit still survives. Old habits still make us think we hear them digging on the floor. Or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor. Our feet still go around the place the food dish used to be, And, sometime, coming home at night, we miss them terribly. And although time may bring new friends and a new food dish to fill, That one place in our hearts belongs to them... and always will. 2-14-07 HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!! JANUAY 2007: The emptiness is beginning to fade, To change into another reality, One with you still playing a part, But a role of ethereal presence rather than physical comfort we crave; Your memory, your spirit, your essence and counsel, Dwell with us, but this feeling is not the same as when, You were here.
