Welcome to MAX's Rainbow Residency

MAX's Rainbow Residency

Memories of MAX

Max was rescued from the street in June 1997. He was in a dirty doorway in a run down street in the rain. I gave him some food that I bought and put it on a paper plate. i had to return to work but I promised I would return later if he waited for me. It was three hours later, and raining, I drove back in the old Chevette, not expecting him to be there, but he was. I picked him up, he had eaten everything but was very thin, and very gentle. I brought him home, to live with Artie, who became his close friend, they would wrestle and chase each other for hours, Emma whose heart was broken when Artie abandoned her to spend his day with Max, Lea and Sammy and Sophie ( brother and Sister) doxies. We were all together, very peaceably. Max fit in immediately and he became like a social director welcoming all the cats that came after (except Jenny) Hannah banana, Ally, her kids, Christopher and Adriana, Gabby
and Jenny. Lea left in 1998, Sophie in 2001, Hannah in 2002, Sammy in 2003, Artie in 2004, Gabby in 2008 and now Max. I hope they are all together and that maybe I will join them.

Max made up for his starvation all too well. He was a great lap sitter and purring machine, and till a few years ago slept with me. A wonderful cat - who waited for me in the rain, to come into our lives. Always in our hearts. Sweet Max
