Welcome to Max's Rainbow Residency

Max's Rainbow Residency

Memories of Max

Max was always Chris' dog and Chris went a year before him. Now they are together forever. He was a 12 year old puppy who died suddenly. Unexpectedly. Everyone who knew him, wanted to take him home because he was so good and sweet. Our hearts are broken but he is with Chris where he belongs. RIP our buddy. You were the best we have known. He died in the spot in his picture. It was "his spot"

Max LOVED to play in the pool or the lake. He ran around like a puppy, even the night before he died. He had that funny, black spot on his tongue. He fetched, spoke, shook paws and loved to put his face in your lap when you petted him. His favorite toy was a hedgehog. It was the only one he never tore apart. He carried him around carefully. His best buddies were Harley & Abby. Abby's house friend is now gone. They played tug-o-war with toys. Max never went to bed until the last person did. He was loyal to whoever was still awake. The same could be said in the morning. He would't go downstairs until the last person was up. Poor thing, hated car rides, while most dogs love them.
He was a sweet, sweet Golden Retriever with fur more red than gold. Everyone thought he was a puppy, even a year ago. The vet said he was the best looking Golden his age, that he had ever seen. We know Chris needed him now, more than us and he came for his dog today. We are sad that he suffered, though minimally, but rejoice that Master & his Best Friend are reunited, once again.

Chris + Max together. Gone but never forgotten. Have a good time boys. We will miss you until we see you again. XO
