Maxwell was a very special dog. He started life as a Miniature Pinscher, but we found out that he was truly a German Pinscher instead. He grew bigger than expected and that is how we discovered he was a German. |
He had so many cute qualities. He was smart too. He would wait by the window for us to come home and was so happy when we arrived. Max was the best watch dog, no one was supposed to walk past our house as he would let you know with his big bark! You didn't come into the house unless he knew you, he would greet you at the door and check you out. Once he was sure you were ok he was your best friend and would cry for attention. He loved belly rubs and walks. He had a mischievous side too. One time he managed to get some hot dog buns off the table and hide them under the table in the living room. We only discovered them there when we got too close to the spot and he retreived them. He didn't eat them so we don't know why he wanted them. He could walk on his hind legs like a person, many people would comment on how he could do that. He was very muscular and could hold himself up and walk along for a good distance. He did this on his own we never trained him to do it. He just wanted to "see" what was coming up.
Max was our boy and we loved him for 15 years and still love him. He had a good long life and we cherish his memory. There will never be a dog like him! He was unique, loyal, funny, protective and handsome! He is irreplaceable!
I beleive he is with our Lord up in heaven and having a wonderful time playing with all the other dogs and feeling just like a puppy again!
