You always made us laugh! That's what I loved about you. The first day I held you in my arms as a puppy was the happiest day. You nuzzled my neck and I knew you were my baby boy. I will always remember how you slid down the snowbanks in the winter and got snow all over you face. I'll never forget when you used to stare at me in the middle of the night because you wanted to cuddle in bed with me. You always stayed by my side when I was sick and let me cry in your neck full of fur after a bad day. I will miss the days we would go for car rides and look at the cows, you loved them so much. I will never forget you. You will always have a special place in my heart. I will make sure I put George and Rat in a safe place. I know your friends Jeff and Brandy and cousins Tanner and Stella will miss you too, babydog. November 3rd, 2011: It's been forever since I visited but don't worry, I haven't forgotten you...I never will. Lately, the days have been really hard for me because it's cold out now and the other day it snowed and I pictured you laying in the snow with your "smile" There have been so many times i've needed a friend and you are not here. I got a rabbit now though, she is cute and fluffy like you were but, I don't think she likes me :-( I know you would have loved her. I hope you are still waiting for me at the bridge and I hope you are having a lot of fun. I miss you. xoxoxo I love you June 14th, 2011: Hi pookie! How's the bridge today? Cold and rainy here. Bad news though...Stella has passed away. Early this morning Aunt Nikki found her...we are all taking it very hard but, I hope you will show her around and introduce her to all of your friends. We are going to pick you up and bring you home tonight..it's bittersweet. I ordered a memorial river rock for you we will put next to the purple lupin where you used to love to lay. Well...that's all for now. I miss you a lot and now with Stella gone, it's like I have to cope all over again when I was just starting to get a grip :-/ xoxoxoxo Love, Mama Dawg June 7th, 2011: Sorry I haven't written you for awhile punkin. We are doing better. I know you are watching over us. Jeff keeps hanging around so we are giving him your combos...hope you don't mind! I think he misses you. We get to pick up your ashes in a few weeks...that is going to be a hard time. We are going to put them in your treasure chest with Rat. Love you so much! Just want to hug and kiss you right now. I hope I get to again soon. xoxox. Love, Mama Dawg June 2nd, 2011: Hi Meekie. How's the weather at the bridge? I hope it is nice and sunny. You'd love it at home today...the wind is blowing and it is chilly...your kind of weather!!! Wanted to tell you that I had a few of our favorite foods for lunch. Chicken strips, Mac and cheese and gravy potato. There was soooo much food and I wish I could have shared it with you. Gramma seems to be doing ok, yesterday we went to dinner and then to get some things for stuff-a-truck. I'm really lonely today! Oh, guess what I found under my bed lastnight.....one of your rats!! LOL. Grampa must have dropped it when he was moving your toys to another room. Thought it was a gigantic mouse so it scared me. haha. I should probably go for now but, it is so nice I have received many kind words from people and I bet you've made a lot of kitty friends! Play nice, I love you oxoxoxoxo <3 June 1st, 2011: Hey baby. It's only been a few days since you have passed. I finally got around to opening my birthday presents!! Gramma let me know that you wanted to get me that silly hand held tennis racket bug zapper for camping. LOL. I love it a lot. I am happy you made it thru my birthday on the 29th. I put an ice cream sundae here for you since I promised you an ice cream cone when you got better. I also put a block of cheese, I know you are getting lots of cheese in heaven like you did at home...and a milkbone. I miss playing with halloween with you in the morning and I know gramma misses it too. I was going to get you an outdoor igloo for your birthday this year...but, to make up for it I put a dog house at the bridge. I hope you seek shelter in it when you need to. I hope you don't mind I sleep with your big milkbone toy and your meerkat...it brings me a lot of comfort. I love you a lot Meeko and miss you sooooo much. I haven't been able to come home during my lunch break because, you aren't here to have lunch with. I hope you are enjoying the sunshine and i'm sure you've made many friends already. Love and miss you xoxoxoxo May 21st, 2012: I know I haven't written on here much. Things have been hard and I really miss you. It is getting closer to the one year anniversary and I am freaking out. I know I will be so sad and I dunno how to deal with it. You were my best friend and i've really needed a best friend lately. I didn't tell you: I got a bunny! You'd love her so much, her name is Willow. Gramma also got a kitty, from Jerome...she is fat and her name is lilly. I also have my little hamster Diddy. All of them are great but, they do not compare to you and will never EVER replace you. I also got a tattoo for you. It is a heart with two paw prints in it, your name, and the date you passed. I hope you are still waiting for me and enjoying your days at the rainbow bridge. I love you so much xxxxxoooooo
