Memories of Miss Lucky Lady

Miss Lucky Lady came into our lives in 1993 as a very young puppy from the Humane Society. From the very start she was playful, loving and always on the go. She loved to dig up our neighbor's newly planted flower garden yearly! Miss Lucky Lady lived on a lake and loved to go swimming and then run over to us and dry herself off by shaking! Lucky also decided to go on a day trip with our other dog Muttley one day. Of course, Muttley came home, without Lucky. We put up posters everywhere and finally found our Lucky Lady 3 months later,, living under an abandoned trailer house and 15 miles from home! She was very glad to be found and never left the yard again! As the years went on, her eyes dimmed, hearing was difficult but she kept up her wagging tail and bright eyes for me. Finally she couldn't hide the signs and symptoms any more. After a year of trips to her MD and continued decline, I had to let her go home. I held her as she breathed her last,, my tears on her fur. I love you, Miss Lucky Lady! September 8, 2007 It has been a whole year since you left us, Miss Lucky Lady, and the pain of your loss is still fresh. I take comfort in knowing your suffering is finally over. I love you and miss you! There isn't a week that goes by that we dont talk about the cute things you did! The pain of your loss is still hurtful but I am relieved your suffering is over and you are waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge!
