Memories of Molly
|
Molly was the epitome of the Labrador Retriever...loving, obedient from sunrise to sunset, alert to her "job", which was whatever you desired her to do! We did not call on Molly to do much for us, just to play & be part of our family. She was our first Labrador chosen & befriended by her buddy Brock, and since have only had one other. Molly was named "Good Doggie Ms Molly", and that was a name she exceeded. She was proud of her bones and more than anything proud to obey your call. As we got our 2nd labrador, Merry, Molly eventually said "OK" & for a year before she passed, she taught her the ropes, or tried to. Molly's illness got the best of her in those last days & finally, it was time to let her go. She was fighting it as hard as we were. And to this day, all of us are so very grateful for the gift of Molly. When its time, it will be a joy to meet & run w/ her again. In her early days, Molly could run those squirrels down, bring us dug up presents, and catch balls like no other. I know she is showing off in all those capacities as we speak! Watch out pet squirrels...she won't hurt ya, just tag you real good! We'll see you again when its time Molly girl, play with Merry & tell her all is OK w/ Ruby. Til we are together, snuggle with ole St Francis, whom I send all my pats & prayers thru for you in the most beautiful way! Love you, Your Mom, Dad, brothers Brock & Joel, & new canine friends: Ruby & Mo. |
