Memories of Montana

Tana was the sweetest Rottweiler anyone could ever have. At 105 (her heaviest) she could look menacing, but she never wanted to get "involved" when her sisters were barking at a stranger, or delivery man. She would stand way behind them and just observe. During a thunderstorm, she would hide in the shower. Everyone that came to the house fell in love with her, she just loved to be loved on.
She loved her fur-sister dogs and her fur-brother cat. She also loved her human parents very much and all the humans in her life. She loved the smallest of children and would let them crawl all over her.
She was a rescue, found wandering a parking lot with her little tummy dragging the ground it was so full of worms. The vet estimated her age to be around 5 to 5 1/2 months, as she was also starting to lose her baby teeth. In her 8 1/2 years, she had surgery on both her back knees and had to have back surgery in 2009 due to a disc rupturing, hitting her spinal cord and causing instant paralysis. She recovered well with a lot of physical therapy and love.
She had cancer of the spleen when she passed away. She gave her parents a final goodbye kiss right before she passed and they will cherish that thought forever.
We know she was greeted at Rainbows Bridge by her other fur-siblings, Domino, Tippy, Fozzie Bexar, Vixen, Scout, B.C. and Magick.... and cousin Lou who was probably waiting there with treats.
