Memories of Moose
|
MOOSE sleek sure footed stalks pounces misses THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER MOOSE Moose was my Newfoundland baby boy born 3/18/02. My husband gave him to me on my birthday on May 27th. He was always my special baby from the moment I picked him out of the litter. The reason I named him Moose was because he had the biggest feet I had everg seen. Moose's big big heart was very special too. He was my SPECIAL ANGEL. I used to call him my goofy newfy because he was always so very happy and fun to be around. I used to take him to Folsom Lake in California and watch him go nuts trying to get the ducks. The ducks always won, Moose would get close to drowning, and then give up. In Arizona, he'd go on bunny missions. To watch him chase them was so funny, because the bunnies always won. Words cannot describe the relationship Moose and I had. I loved him more than life itself and he felt the same. Moose was my loving shadow. He always new when I was having bad days. He would come to me with a big smile, a very big fast wagging tail, and give me a slimy kiss. Moose was a very special part of our family. Our boys are our kids. We fought 7 1/2 months to keep Moose alive. Moose fought a couragous battle, but the diseases wom. I will always love him. He taught me how to be more caring and patient. Moose was a TDI certified Therapy Dog. He brought many many adult Cancer patients more peace and love and just made them feel better. He will be sorely missed. Moose was diagnosed with Valley Fever in August 2005 after he had right TPL surgery on his knee. Because he was so sick with the Valley Feve his leg could not heal right. After his right knee blew his left one blew also. In order to repair his left leg his Valley Fever had to be controlled. Finally in February his temperature stayed down and the left leg was repaired. On top of everything else he was diagnosed with Acute Immune Disease. Both operations failed and his bones and joints were getting destroyed because cells were killing other cells and destroying his bones. He could not walk, run or play because of the pain. He was four years old when I gave him up to God. He was suffering so much from pain. Moose's MOOSE is now pain free and at peace. Love Forever, JUDY, JACQUES AND NICK |
