Memories of Misty

Not to long after Misty crossed over to Rainbow Bridge I was laying in bed unable to go to sleep, I was tossing and turning thinking about her. I felt like somebody or something was telling me to go to my computer and write about her. The following is the result of that night. The Day She Came It was a glorious day the afternoon when SHE came to Rainbow Bridge. The sun was shining more brightly that morning and there was a great excitement in the air. They had been preparing for days because HE had told them it was time, and SHE was coming soon. They did not know who SHE was but they knew that since HE came there would be someone very special to follow him and HE had been waiting for her. They had been preparing beautiful garlands of flowers and petals to toss as she walked by upon her arrival. In the few days prior to her arrival they all noticed his restlessness. He would look at the empty Royal Blue pillow just a little higher on the knowl than his and he would feel his heart beat a little faster, he had missed her so much. He had been making many more journeys to his favorite hunting place than usual to help pass the time. His eyes kept straying to the tall majestic Guardian Gate that she would pass through. Oh, he was so excited! He had been watching down on her and his Master & Mistress since his arrival and he knew that there was something they had to do together , but he knew he would have to wait for her to tell hin whe SHE arrived. Then finally the time neared and he went upon the knowl and sat upon his pillow and looked to make sure hers was ready. He knew that if HE waited here SHE would see him right away and know that he was waiting for his Sister. The birds were singing a beautiful song as the Guardian Gate opened and SHE stepped through. A quiet hush came over everyone, SHE was so beautiful! Her beautiful coat was glistening in the sun and her glorious blue eyes shined ever so brightly. SHE looked around and saw the beauty of this wonderous place and felt immediately that she was home and then she looked through her new friends and saw HIM, her heart skipped a beat, there HE was, waiting atop the knowl. A beautiful pillow just a little above his and it was just like HE had told her. SHE thought how before she had been afraid but that memory was fading fast and she was feeling young and full of life again. She lept in the air and did a flip like she had not done since she was a kitten. She ran up the hill to be with HIM and everybody cheered, they saw how happy HE was to see HER. He could not wait to show her around and have her meet his friends. HE had told many of them of HER and they knew she must be very wise for she had spent many more years on earth than most of them and they must show her great respect. As days went by and SHE settled in, it came to them at the very same moment, they knew there was something they both had to do, HE looked at HER fondly, HE was so happy SHE was finally with him. HE said I know, it could not happen until now, she said, yes, now I know too. We are only allowed one dream trip to help if it's needed, that's why I could not make the trip before. SHE said yes, our Master has suffered so much since you left he still misses so, and now he grieves even more. There must be a way to let him know how happy we are, yes SHE said, if you had made the Dream Trip before we couldn't have done it now. We must do it soon, we must visit our Mistress in her sleep and tell her to let him know hwo happy we are and that we know we will all be together again. He must know this so that his heart will stop aching. It must be tonight, she has a way with words and she loves him very much as she did us. If she tells him, he will know it is truth and comes from us. So they came to her this night to share this this little message of the Day She Came. footnote: Please forgive grammar and spelling it's hard to write with tears spilling onto your cheeks.
