Memories of Nikki

When you first came to us as a puppy, we let you out in the yard and you immediately started digging holes, no sooner did I fill one, you had 2 more dug up. I would get so frustrated and angry with you, but when I confronted you, you just looked at me with those big brown eyes and you knew you had me beat. Your hearing and senses were so good, a cotton ball couldn't roll down the street without you barking your head off, if you heard any noise at all you were on the job, (the sanitation guys are going to miss you and the mail lady and the UPS guy and especially the Chinese food delivery guy). You and Bronco were a good team, you worked together well. When we would go away for a day or two, Aunt Mary and Jerry would take care of you, and you and Bronco knew when we were close to the house. You Nikki would start paceing back and forth and Bronco would start howling and aunt Mary would say we must be close to home, and sure enough, within five minuets we were home.
