Memories of Patches

Patches was the first gift I ever recieved from my husband. My husband is an American Soldier so Patches has been there for me to keep me company while my husband was deployed to places like Iraq. She has moved all around the United States with us over the last 11 years and never complained. She has been so loving and accepting to all of the other animals we brought into our family. She would lay with me and sleep with me in my bed so that I knew I was not alone. She loved drinking water out of the sink faucet while my husband would shave every morning. She would run to the bathroom when ever we were in there and would talk to us. We would ask her questions and she would meow and talk back to us. I am going to really miss those moments. She has been suffering from Cancer for a few years now and finally lost her fight. I am going to miss those eyes of hers and how she would come running when she heard the treat bag crumble. You hold a very special place in my heart Patches and always will. But I know in my heart we will be together again in heaven. Thank you for all the memories..They will be cherished forever. The hole in my heart belongs to you.
