Memories of POPPY
The 1st June 1995 a miracle happened, a very special little girl was born,& this cute little bundle of fluff melted our hearts & we chose this little one to become part of our family, we named our little girl Poppy, she was the perfect playmate & companion for our dear little bichon boy Billy, it really was such a joy & priveledge to have two beautiful babies to love & care for, & they completely filled our lives with love fun & laughter, & for many years we all enjoyed great fun & companionship, with lots of holidays, long walks, playing games & plenty of cuddles, needless to say they were thoroughly spoilt by all our family & loved by everyone, they were our lives, wherever we went or whatever we done BILLY & POPPY were always with us & always considered & included in everything, but sadly in January 2008 we lost our Billy to cushings disease, our world had fallen apart, we had lost our special boy, & Poppy had lost her life long playmate & companion, & although she too was sad & lonely, she gave us so much comfort & strength to carry on. Poppy was the most sweetest, kind & gentle little girl you could ever wish to meet & she was coping & adapting very well in her own little way, in fact she was now being doubly spoilt, which she totally deserved, & she gave us so much love comfort & respect back. By this time Poppy was 12 years old herself, so she was doing well & we spent many more happy moments together, but after another 2 years had passed us by, we noticed that Poppy seemed to be struggling with finding her way around & after a visit to the vets we were told she had glaucoma & had lost her sight completely in one eye with limited vision in the other, but with lots of love & support from us, she was so brave & adapted quite well, but after a few months it became clear that she was getting very tired & it was becoming a struggle even with our help for her to get through the day & was no longer able to enjoy her life, so we gave her the greatest gift of love, cradled in our arms after having her favourite treat, she very peacefully fell asleep to be reunited with her Billy on 12th July 2010. Thankyou sweetheart for 15 wonderful years, & although both our babies are gone from our sight & our touch they will remain in our hearts forever & every minute of every day we will love & miss you, reunited forever sleep peacefully our little darlings, God bless sweethearts xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
