|My sweet Pita, I have been remembering when you first came to our house. You were such a cute fuzzy little thing that your grandma found near her office. We were not supposed to keep you, but you stole my heart almost instantly! Four or five days later your sister joined us. Then the nice couple came to take one of you home with them. On the inside I was praying they would not pick you. Sure enough, you got to stay with us and I could not be happier. You were my first baby and I suppose I was a very overprotective mommy and drove you crazy with all the smothering when you weren't in the mood. I can't tell you how much joy, laughter and happiness you brought into our home and lives. There was never a dull moment with you around. I will miss all the cute and silly things you did over the last 14 months. I will miss you waking me up at 6 in the morning by pulling my hair with your teeth or purring loudly in my face while you sat on my chest. I will miss you begging for food and helping me wash the dishes. Oh and let's not forget all the birds that you brought us! You were always so sweet to all the foster kitties we brought in; you shared your food and toys and cared for them as if they were your own babies. Miss Pita, I am sure that you are having a great time where you are now. I am sure you are enjoying the sunshine and all the four-legged friends that you are meeting. Make sure you say hello to and hang out with Bart, Dillon and Carlton (momma Wendy and grandma Jackie's doggies). I do hope you are getting to eat lots of whipped cream, chicken and are chasing lots of birds! I love you with all of my heart and will never, ever forget you. I can't wait to see you again. We all miss you like crazy! Love, Momma 6/2/05 Dear Pita, By now you have met up with Jim-Jim as he left us yesterday. I am so glad that he is with you now because even though he FINALLY started letting us love him a little I know that he was not truly very happy without you. We are now missing you both very much. I can't even explain how much! I finally found you a Bird of Paradise plant that I am going to plant in the front yard for you. I will place some of your ashes and Jim-Jim's with it. I hope that is okay with you. The man at the nursery said it should start to bloom by the end of the summer. I hope so because I want it to have beautiful birdie flowers for you! I promise I will take very good care of it so it will flourish just like you did when you were here! My little Pita-Wita, I don't think you will ever know how much you were loved here on Earth, my sweet beautiful kitty! I miss you! Love, Momma 9/9/05 - Pita, pretty soon it is going to be 4 months since you left to go to the Bridge. I want you to know that I still miss you everyday and talk about you alot. I love you so much! Gizmo is getting a little nicer, I think he knows that I miss you and that he needs to let me love him even though I can be a pain! We all miss you! Be a good girl and please look for Roo(Jen & Jeannie's kitty) tomorrow. She has been very sick and will be joining you, Jim Jim and the others. Show her around like the good girl that you are! I am sure to you it seems that not a day has passed since you have been at the Rainbow Bridge, but it has been a whole year! I still miss you very much; we all do! Gizmo has been a lot nicer. He is a big winer, though, much more than you ever were. He likes to beg for food more and more often now which reminds me alot of you! He is also a 'P-I-T-A'! Be good; love you, Momma. 6/7/07 - hi Miss Pita! Hope you are having fun at the Rainbow Bridge! We love you and miss you always. 8/2/07 - Hi Pita Wita! AS always, I hope you are having a good time.
