Memories of Sprocket

Sprocket was born to his parents Apache and Mocha in my home. From his father he acquired a personality that could make the world smile. His love for life, food, attention and his family unmistakably brought those around him joy and happiness to be a part of his life. From his mother he attained an intelligence that was both goofy and thoughtful in every interaction. Sprocket has left behind is family on Earth, but I trust will be welcomed and embraced by Apache and Mocha. Rose will deeply miss Sprocket. Companions for 2 years, Sprocket helped her find her own personality and comfort in our home after an uncertain previous time in her life. She leaves a spot in the cage for Sprocket to join her always, especially during a meal. Rose stayed by Sprocket's side right through the end when he needed her most. Their love for each other was unique and beautiful. I will miss you most Sprocky. You gave me so much to remember you by. I had to make a very difficult decision on your behalf and will always leave me wondering if it was the right choice. I love you and hope you realize I didn't give up on you and tried not to fail you. It will get easier for me in time, especially knowing you are no longer in pain. Please know I love you and will miss you always. Say hi to your parents for me and I will see you again. Love, Mommy |
