Memories of Shelby
Going to bed was a nightly ritual for us. I would say, "Let's go to bed." Shelby and my other two babies would run to the bedroom and wait for me to pick them up and put them on the bed. When I would get into bed, Shelby would get onto the pillow beside my head. Before I would pick up my book to read, I would reach over to scratch behind her ears. She would turn her head and lick my palm as if saying thank you. Then she would curl up and go to sleep. Going to bed is what I will miss most about Shelby. She always loved being held and snuggled. She would roll on her back so you could pet her on the stomach. If you weren't getting the right spot, she would take her front paws and push your hand to the exact spot that she wanted. Shelby had such a sweet disposition. It was very easy to love her. She was truly a pleasure to hold and pet. I will miss everything about my beloved baby.
