Memories of Shilling

When I remember you Shilling, I think of these things that all hold special memories; Milk jug rings by the dozens under the fridge. Mc Donald's french fries. Grass. Water trickling from the bathtub faucet. Chasing a flashlight beam. Cornering millers in the lampshade. Sleeping under the Christmas tree like the gift you really were. Greeting me at the front door after work. Cupboard doors "mysteriously" standing open. The sound of galloping in the hallway. The joy of discovering an open window. Making your bed on shoes and coiled extension cords. Slinking under my bed at the first hint of thunder. The great excitment over a can of tuna. Being stalked at playtime. These treasured memories are carried in my heart; a scrapbook filled with snapshots frozen in time. I now have three more orange tiger kitties. I know you sent them to me to make sure I wouldn't forget you. But Shilling, I never will - ever. Psalms 84:11, "For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; NO good thing will He withhold from those who love Him." So Shilling, watch for me - my special little guy. I love and miss you so!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grandma came along before I did; so Shilling, Runt, Chloe, Dave, Brando, Dorian, Muffin, Spats,TT, Punkin, Scooter, Chas, Weegee, Donovan, Storm, Skittles, Lightnin', Gracie, Mittens, Ozzy, Cleo, Munchie, Ringo, Romeo, Fritz and you nine babies keep her company till I get there too. It won't be long now! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I love you Mom, and am totally lost without you. Thursday nights will never be the same ever again. Horrible days for me, and endless nights that hang heavy - but such sweet relief for you; and for that, I am truly grateful to God. I know you'll take good care of all our babies. See you very soon! Loved you yesterday, love you still - always have, and always will. Pinkie promise.
