Memories of Teddy
Teddy first came into our lives when we learned that he had been returned to our County Animal Control from a local rescue group. When we went to visit Teddy, we found him in a very small and cramped cage; his precious, sightless eyes were nearly matted closed ... He was so terrified and sick! We took him home with us that very day and later learned that in addition to his blindness, he also was suffering from uncontrolled diabetes.

Teddy was so happy when he came home with us...it took some time, but he learned to master our house and yard and could get around on his own with very little help! He was on 2 doses of insulin each day and soon he was feeling very well again! How he adored my husband, John! They went everywhere together and Teddy slept by his side each and every night. He was a true Daddy's boy!! Whenever John had to go anywhere without him, Teddy would stand at the door and howl with all his might until Daddy was back home once again.

God only allowed us to have our precious angel with us for 18 months before he went home to be with the Lord, but we treasure each and every day that we had together! Teddy gave us so much love but he also taught us so much about courage in the face of great obstacles.

We love you always and forever, precious angel.

PS Daddy said to tell you that he misses his best friend more than words can ever say! ... (And so does Mommy, Teddy Baby Teddy). oxoxox

Please also visit Barney, Bebe, Fred and Sam.
