Memories of Valentine
Our Hearts are broken.....
Our Sweet Valentine has earned her wings.....
We rescued her when she was just 4 years old..
A sad story of a purebred puppy that was mistreated, whipped and beaten....her family surrendered her to a local rescue that placed her in several homes that didn't work out before deciding that perhaps the rescue may be where she'd have to live out her life.
Then one day.....we met.....
Oh how "Beautiful" she was....
she reminded us of our Beloved Blacki that had recently past away.....we couldn't take our eyes off her....so off she came with us to our home...she was a bit uneasy at first, but happy to be on her new adventure with us....we came home and got aquainted....it only took about a year before she knew she found her furever home!
She turned into being the most affectionate girl ever...so happy and content!
She loved car rides, she even had her own high chair to look out the windows. She could ride for hours, we took her on many road trips... Omaha, Nebraska a few times for TSO rehearsals and we stayed at the Doubletree(they even gave her some fresh baked cookies) Beaumont, Texas to see her Daddy at TSO rehearals and the Worlds Largest Fire Hydrant (in the movie 101 Dalmations)and a few trips to Texas A & M to take her brother to get his new pacemaker. At Christmas time...oh, how she loved to look at the sparking lights..we could ride around for hours looking at all the decorated houses and yards!
When she was younger..before she was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease we'd take long walks, she loved to strut her stuff...when we'd get back, I'd say "now we have to wash our feet" she'd run to the shallow end of the pool, jump unto the tanning ledge wash her feet, then she'd jump out and I'd dry them off for her...she was such a smart girl!
Oh how she loved to swim.... and what a great swimmer she was!! Anytime someone was in the pool swimming or floating, day or night, she wanted in too..
We went to 3 baseball games for the Texas Rangers, oh how she enjoyed the game! Some pictures are below...
She was such a good sport..always dressing up for her moms, pink dresses, purple dresses, cute swimsuits, holiday dresses so many to pick from....she'd prance around so proud as to say.... look how beautiful I am!! She was Beautiful.. in and out....She was always the most photogenic posing perfectly when her brothers and sister were acting crazy!!
Over the last 5 years she was diagnosed with some illnesses that forbid her anything but hypo-allergic food and treats....she made the best of it! She was such a trooper! Never giving up for her family!! Always taking her medications without a fight!! Even with all her issues, she was the Best Girl....always liked being carried body to body, paws over your shoulder just like a baby, Oh.... how we miss her so....
Sincere "Thank you's" from the bottom on our hearts to all her doctors and technicians, Dr. Green and Dr. Clark at VCA Metroplex and Dr. Culwell at Veterinary Medicine Specialists of Dallas/Fort Worth for giving us extra time with this sweet child of ours....she was one in a million that can never be replaced!
Love you so much sweet Val, give kisses to Bianca & Bailey, we hope you found Blacki & Baci too! Tonya, Karla, Elliot, Mom, Dad, Buddy, Bentley, Roscoe & Bella
