Memories of Zeus
Zeus was special, he loved everyone he met. From the time he was a puppy until his last day, he just wanted to be held. He was full of life and full of love. He was our son, a member of our family and the best thing that ever happened to me. Zeus was so smart and so sweet. I heard many times from many people that Zeus single handedly changed peoples opinions about Pit Bulls, because he was so sweet. It took him about 5 minutes to learn a new trick and I only had to tell him once if I wanted him to do something. He was as smart as can be and so proud of himself when he got something right!
Zeus loved the park and the beach. He also loved the snow. He would jump into the pool to swim and I would have to go in after him because he was about 85 pounds and he would start to sink after a few minutes! He would bark at windshield wipers and the vacuum cleaner and he would kiss your face until you thought your nose was going to fall off. He loved his butt scratched, he loved company and he liked to dance. Oftentimes, we would sing and dance in the kitchen and Zeus would come running in to join the fun. He liked to be covered up with a blanket at bedtime, we had several little blankets just for him. When he would get a fresh one put on his bed, he would wag his tail like crazy and plop right down on it!
He pretended that he did not like baths but he sure was happy when he got clean, he was silly, he was sweet, he was a love bug. Zeus was special. About a year ago he was diagnosed with Cancer but he never let it bring him down. He was like a puppy until the day he passed, making sure that his Mommy and Daddy were cared for. He loved us and he showed us how much, all the time. Thank you Zeus, for making us better people and showing us how to love unconditionally. You will forever be in our hearts and you will forever live on with the Angels in Heaven. My sweet, sweet baby boy.
