| Squeaker succombed to the FIV virus on Friday, April7, 2000. He was a sweet soul who deserved much better than he got in this life. He was abandoned in the fall of 1999, and when we took him to the vet he tested positive for FIV. We could not take him in because our cat has feline leukemia. We found him a home with a rescue person, who sheltered him for the last months of his life. His health had not been good, but he began to decline even more in the last 6 weeks, and was put to rest last Friday Squeaker was gentle, loving and trusting, and I can't understand why his life was so hard. I pray that his soul is at peace. I hope I see him again. We love you Squeaker, and we will never forget you. |
