Cookie and Peanut
Said Cookie to Peanut
As she gazed at her pic
And looked towards the sky,
Do you know that my daddy cries
For you each day?
I see you all over
Especially in his eyes
And I know I can smell you,
Seems you're always here.
At night as I lie close
And cuddle with dad,
I know that he sighs
And his heart aches for you.
At times I hear him whisper,
Ay Pupu! I miss you,
As he wipes away a tear.
Did I tell you dear sister
As loved as I am,
There is no one but you
That will be Pupu to dad.
I am blessed to be
In this home so filled with love,
I know it, I sense it,
As big as the sky.
Wish I had met you
Though know you I do,
Your spirit is present
It always lives on.
And as she gazed
At that picture
As big as the sky,
You could hear little
Peanut gurgling with glee,
I know little sister,
That you are very sweet,
So watch over daddy,
That's all that I ask,
And one day forever
Well all be as one
For my loves,
from Daddy
