Cookie and Peanut
by Roy Aranda
Cookie and Peanut Said Cookie to Peanut As she gazed at her pic And looked towards the sky, Do you know that my daddy cries For you each day? I see you all over Especially in his eyes And I know I can smell you, Seems you're always here. At night as I lie close And cuddle with dad, I know that he sighs And his heart aches for you. At times I hear him whisper, Ay Pupu! I miss you, As he wipes away a tear. Did I tell you dear sister As loved as I am, There is no one but you That will be Pupu to dad. I am blessed to be In this home so filled with love, I know it, I sense it, As big as the sky. Wish I had met you Though know you I do, Your spirit is present It always lives on. And as she gazed At that picture As big as the sky, You could hear little Peanut gurgling with glee, I know little sister, That you are very sweet, So watch over daddy, That's all that I ask, And one day forever Well all be as one For my loves, from Daddy inspired after the walk in the snow
