I dreamed of Duke

I dreamed I passed away last night
Crossed over in my sleep
I thought of those whod miss me so,
And of those I was to meet.
But of all the souls of whom Id missed.
Of all the ones Id see.
Theres one for sure thats waiting there,
Waiting patiently.
Then the clouds began to open,
And the angels cried with joy,
One small figure sat at the Gate,
I knew it was my boy.
He chased his tail,
Then sat up straight,
Then waved his paw at me.
His little wings moved to & fro
It WAS a sight to see.
Now we sit together at this Gate,
Not caring how late or long
We wait together, side by side,
For the rest to come on home.
