I dread the day I will lay my baby to rest. He is 1 1/2 years old which hopefully is no where near death. he has lost his sister due to an evil leighbor who proceded into opening our back yard gate freeing them into the outside worl. You see I live in texas near Highway 6 infact not even half a mile from it. I can walk there and sit where Kota died and think but I choose not to. You see highways aren't safe. My dog that night did not succeed in stoping Dakota from leaving our yard but he stayed where my mom said she found him on the driveway crying. that was one of the saddest and most crucial days of my life last december in 2004. The first thing that clicked in my mind was something has to be done about this highway and i am going to be a vet. It is very hard to see your dog slaughtered on a road that is immpossible to get to. Buck though is alive and his sister lives with him. He know has a pal named Kira who we got after Kota's incident. Buck though is special to my heart. He saved us from a fire once when one of the lamps in my room had some how gotten a beanie in it {I didn't put it there.} and he kept taking my arm then dragging me toward the lamp then he would whine. By the time I could smell the beanie cooking it was a little late. The fumes were comming from a beanie being fried that I couldn't find. The fumes were toxic and when i found the beanie instantly put it in water and hugged Bubba {as i call him}. I love Buck. He is always beside me with love and I look at him and think how can I give this up. he is a gorgeous german shepherd all lanky and tall and has never growled or bit anyone except his favorite toy which is his millions of tennis balls. People apreciate what is with you live everyday with your pet as if it was the last..... As I have heard quoted from a mere child "I understand death very well. Humans have to learn to love, see, and care so they are here longer but dogs already know how so they arent here as long they are here to make us learn. Buck lays at my feet why I type this. I may be only 12 but my feelings are strong and very willed. please email me if you would like to speak or need help copeing with a lost love.
