Kota Baby
by Sarah Callaway
Our baby's name was Dakota we bought her and her brother on August 2 03. She lived to Dec. 4 04 at 6:30 pm. Our neighbors hated her because she used to bark so we think they unlocked our gates and let her free. I was on a church van at the time when this happend. My brother said that Buck my dog came up to the house howling about that time Dakota ran onto near by Highway 6 and was hit by our church vans. She was already dead the said but I knew. I watched the dog laying there whole covered in blood. We lived not even one 1/12 of a mile from where she was killed. My mom got me from the church camp and told me dakota was missing. I told her we hit a german shepherd. She and I cried all the way to go get her. When we found her she wasn't whole infact I could only recognize one of her detached legs it was alfull. We found her head torso two legs and her pelt. She was so sweet and gentle. She was going to be a mom by spring. She was so good with puppies. She just loved everyone. We miss her dearly. Her brother used to search but now we got a puppy to help cope. She was a different dog than most she could stand on just two legs for a while and was good at stealing things off the stove with out getting burnt. She was incredibly good at getting stuck in things and screaming she definitely had a voice. Dakota's husband was Lobo. He had no clue what happened to her because he was not there when it happened he doesn't exactly care. We got him a girlfriend named Indy and Buck has a Girlfriend named Kira {kear-ra}. Both young pups are around 8 weeks since dec 22 04. Well meet Kota once again at the rainbow bridge.
