Tiger
by Sarah Callaway
This month has been very sad and depressing my friends mother died and now poor tiger is gone... Tiger is one of my neighbors cats... Well he was/is a kitten. Well yesterday i went out to feed the kittens because the others sure don't and sweet tiger didnt come for his food.. It was awkward...when i told a friend they stated he will probably be back later... I didnt think that but i didnt argue.. Later when we came back we pet his sister roxy and looked around for him.. He wasnt there.. But i looked tward were we had sat with him the night before and i saw a little striped body on the ground.. I called over lin the friend with me and told her he was dead.. the owners werent home and wouldnt be for a while.. we looked at his body and where it was in the grass beside the curb.. it looked like he had fallen out of the tree above us but one look at his injuries to his head..spine..back leg... and his claws told us another.. he had been hit by a car... It was awkward looking at the fuzzy kitten who normally curls in your arms to sleep now so stiff and lifeless. We covered him up and thought about what could have happened.. and i remembered something this morning.. That same morning i looked out my window to see a strange red car pull in my drive way the driver got out and went tward the street and was covered up by surounding trees then maybe three minute later got in his car and left... I think he was the one who either hit tiger or was the one kind enough to get him out of the road ... the way we knew tiger wasnt throw into his postision is because he was laye in a straight line in the equal part of the grass which was not consistant of other injuries... we waited til 11:20 at night before we could talk to the owners dad.. he got tiger in a bag for us and we buried him in a levi this morning.. we will all ways miss tiger and will keep his love with us forever..
