Smudge
by Stephanie Carr
Smudge, I will never forget the times when I used to feed you, when you used to try and climb up the kitchen sides. I will never forget the times when I came home from school and your eyes where gleeming lightly as if to say 'how was your day'. I will never forget the times you used to lay by the gas fire and get to close and set your tail on fire and the time you was awake and you ran under the christmas tree and set it alight, that caused so much chaos. I will never forget the times when you used to jump on my bed and snuggle up around my feet if they were on top of the quilt so that my feet would not get cold. I will never forget the time when you chased that bee into next doors garden and ended up in their house. I will never forget the time me and Rebecca were playing out and you were fighting with that doverman, which might have joined you in heaven! Smudge, even though I was only four when you got run over and had to be put down and now I am thirteen - I just wanted you to know, that forever more - I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!!!
