Mom
by Cheryl Laliberte.........................................
Mom

Don=t cry, mom, although I know you are sad

just try to think of all the good times we=ve had.

The time will come when you=ll dry your tears

as you fondly remember our love throughout the years.

I know you miss me, mom, but I hope you understand

I still hear your voice and feel the soft touch of your hand.

And when you listen closely, my purrs carry on

filling your heart and life with my special song.

When you think of me, mom, please smile and don=t cry

although I know you=re hurting and don=t understand why.

Think of me in a place where I no longer have pain

full of life, I am playful, and so healthy again.

Please believe, mom, that I know how hard you tried

to make me better, so I could stay by your side.

That is the place I too, wanted forever to stay

but then came the time when I peacefully went away.

I know you can=t find me, mom, when you look around

but our love and memories can always be found.

Take comfort in knowing that I=m always with you

your Guardian Kitty in all that you do.

My spirit is with you, mom, wherever you are

the gentlest of breezes, the sky=s brightest star.

Although I am gone, our family will never end

for I love you forever, my mom, my best friend.

Æ Love, Shmoo Æ
