Beloved Ralphie, my child
by Maria Daniels
Beloved Ralphie, my child We have a bond thats strong, my child A bond formed by abuse, I knew the pain and shame, my child And sadly, so did you. I made a promise to you, my child And God made it come true, To give you peace and love, my child Away from all abuse. Eight years we lived alone, my child A time to heal and play, And then God smiled again, my child Sent love bright as the day. In happiness you aged, my child We nursed you and we knew, A dreaded day would come, my child Wed say goodbye to you. A thousand deaths could never break, my child Our bond strengthened by love, On Rainbow Bridge you wait for us, my child Until were called by God above
