In Memory of the DustBuster
by Regina Deuschle
In Memory of the DustBuster A little ball of fur came into our lives the Christmas season of 1989. He was the son of Precious and Baron. With such a regal background it was difficult to come up with a name that would do him justice. After much consideration, (including Spike which our neighbor offered) we named him Dusty. Why we named him Dusty I cant recall but it certainly fit him. Over the years it evolved into Dusters, DustBuster and my favorite Poopy Puppy. His first night in his new home was hard for the little pup. He cried and cried in his cage. My then three year old son, Kristofer, gave Dusty his stuffed Pooh Bear to sleep with and with that little gesture a life long friendship and love were forged. Dusty was an extraordinary little dog. It was though he understood every word we said. He made us laugh, understood our tears and gave us unconditional love for15 years. Dusty left us after weathering the storm Hurricane Frances. We are grieving for the loss of a true friend. We will hold him in our hearts forever.
