| August 22, 2000 Dear Pookie: Well, it has been 5 weeks since you left me and I still cry. I have tears as I write this letter. Since you've been gone, there has been a white bird that has come to us. He flies over the house first thing in the morning and just about dinner time. Taylor calls him "Pookie Bird". He has even let Sargeant (our German Shepard) sniff him, just like you used to let him do. I swear, it is a sign. I want to belive that it is because of you. He first appeared to us right after you died. Daddy doesn't believe it's anything than a bird - but I feel a sense of calm when he appears. It may sound absurd - but I do believe in miracles. I love you and miss you lots - Mom |
