3 small words
by Janet Fritter
Ti-Tan my darling, I miss you. Three words, I miss you. Easy to say, but to live through? I have wept for 3 days and nights. And yet, there was some relief in the crying. Now my tears have dried up, and it's worse because my heart just as heavy. I find myself wrapped around a door jamb, or the clothes hoist, staring into space with you heavy on my mind. I thought when I carried you lifeless, around the village - our last walk together - that my lifeforce might resurrect you, God knows I tried, God knows I willed it, oh, my darling little man, come back to me.
