We Miss You Summer
by Mike Harkness
Summer meant the world to my wife and me. Our 7 year old Yellow Lab is gone now and it hurts so badly. My wife was merely throwing the ball for her and the ball went down her throat and she couldnt get it out. My wife fought frantically to get the ball out but by the time she could get it out it was too late. We are stunned and are left feeling hopeless. Summer was such a huge part of our lives and we did everything to protect her. My wife and Summer were inseparable and this event is really hitting her hard. There is a huge void in our lives when we get home. I still cant believe this really happened. I want to wake up from this bad dream but every morning reality sets in. Summer is gone for good. Summer died March 3rd around 4:30 pm and will be missed forever.
