Berri Blu was "sent" to me by her "Big Brother" Smokie Joe 2 days after Smokie and I would have celebrated 13 wonderful years together. Smokie Joe went to Rainbow Bridge on 11/26/03 and my heart was shattered into a million pieces. Somehow Smokie knew that Berri Blu and I both needed to have some extra love in our lives so he made sure we found each other just as Smokie and I had done 13 years earlier. Well now to the part about Berri's 1st Christmas experience, well she absolutely loves the Christmas tree, to her it's another big toy to play with! As I was try to put the lights on the tree she decided that she needed them more than the tree did. The ornaments are her favorite, with ever few ornaments that are added to the tree she takes a few more down. Berri Blu is having the time of her life and is helping me enjoy Christmas a little bit more this year. Last year at this time I couldn't really celebrate since I was so upset about losing my little boy but this year Smokie Joe and Berri Blu have put a smile back on my face. Yesterday Berri went to see "Santa Paws" at the same store Smokie Joe went to for his first Christmas picture all those years ago I now have both my babies 1st Christmas picture along with their "sisters" Pinceton, Patches O'Malley and Luckie Sullivan's 1st Christmas pictures lovingly displayed in Christmas picture frames in my living room. I will never get ove the lose of my beloved Smokie Joe but he sure has given Berri Blu and me a very Merry Christmas and we're all looking foward to many more happy years together.
