Nikita was our 2nd parakeet was a lovely Green named after Elton
Johns Song Nikita. Our Third Parakeet was Koho a beatiful White and
Blue female.
The two of them always were playing together . Eventho they never
had eggs it was clear they were " love birds"
The one afternoon I went into the bedroom and found Koho dead on
the bottom of the cage. She appeared fine that morning.
I gently removed her body and called my Husband at work to tell him
Koho had passed away.
As I return to the bedroom I was shocked to find that Nikita was
having respiratory distress. I removed him from the cage and he died
a few minutes later in my hands.
It is clear Nikita died of a Broken Heart of having Koho removed.
They are both buried in the same casket, so that they are still
together ...
