So Long For Now, My Dear, Dear, Friend.

So Long For Now, My Dear, Dear, Friend by Leon Layton, Jr. ......................................... OZZIE - SO LONG FOR NOW - MY DEAR, DEAR, FRIEND Your house, now so empty, where you took your last sleep, Your meal left unfinished, I gave to you to keep. For your long journey home, Is a long one indeed, So I gave it to you, Out of Love and my need. For, In laying you to rest, I could not hardly speak, My heart was so heavy, And my body so weak. And Now, with your LONG WATCH over, And you Freedom so deserved, For the Loyalty and Devotion, For all the Seasons that you'd served. REST, Rest on my friend, But don't go too far or stray, For just to you, your Ball will be thrown, On another Sunny Day. So Please Come Back and See Me, Just one more time, And take me with you, And Heal This Heart Of Mine. Till Then, SO LONG FOR NOW,--MY DEAR, DEAR, FRIEND.
